If you are good at high speed caps pick something that does that well. I find heavy fighters work best for a direct approach. Go after vehicles that can't be strafed out as a priority.įor Domination: first spawn in something that you're happy to lose capping runways. From what I've seen of late, vehicles and pillboxes is easier to achieve. Airfield destruction is also another avenue for victory but you need higher tier bombers to pull it off. In general I don't bother with girl guide camps as they don't take that many tickets off the counter. You'll need to figure out the subtleties of individual situations on your own.įor Ground Strike: kill enemy vehicles and small stationary targets like pillboxes. Play the objective that is easiest to achieve if you want to win or to pressure people looking for high kill counts (or take them out of the fight if they won't risk their plane).

To answer the topic question: No, it isn't the best strategy. It seem to me that, unless the player base get better and stop with the low alt suicide thought, playing at low-mid altitude is more rewarding and a better (kill-wise) game set than high alt bnz Granted I die more, but in any try I wasn't killed more than three times. however in the last few days I have been using low altitude conservative tactics (clarification: not going into furballs, attack isolated targets, don't get near the enemy spawn, engaged with at least a small energy advantage) and I had get better results than in some pure high altitude games. Just as an example, I'am not a furballer in anyway and I usually engage my enemies with big energy advantages. What is more important: to kill less and die less, or to kill much more and die more? However the main number of targets remain at low altitude and going against then while playing a high altitude gameplay bleed at lot of energy and if the target has some awareness, it can prove to be a hard target for killing. Now, it is highly probable that some people would spam bombers or try to attack the planes at high alt making (usually) easy kills. However, in most match's what people play are low level dogfighting, sending one plane after the other into the meat grinder of the fur ball. Planes like the J2m2 or the p-47 are meant to be play this way. While playing arcade, there are many people that recommend staying at high alts and use your energy advantage to destroy without many dangers to your aircraft. I had have this topic in my head for some time now.

In squads it is probably the best possible strategy but what about 1 player doing it? One note: I'm want to discuss only 1 player experience, not squads.
